Humanity is a major portion of earth's ecosystem. If you remove a species of 9 million large mammals, how can you predict the effect. How can we be so arrogant?

Depending on which side of the line you are on it has already began. For me and the things I remember about history and earth science, every so often society picks something out and keys on it for the end of humanity and/or the earth. The 60's was back to nature among other things. The seventies led to acid rain and later another ice age. Any number of things can end us and the earth The earth itself is a living breathing organism that will and has taken care of itself. For me it is whatever will be will be to quota Doris Day.
