VA to review status of Marines affected by tainted water!
A statement from the VA said the move is in addition to the health care it provides for more than a dozen conditions to eligible veterans who were stationed at the North Carolina base for at least 30 days between August 1953 and December 1987.
"Today's announcement is a testament to the good things that can happen when Congress and the VA work together in concert to overcome the agency's bureaucracy to ensure our nation's veterans are afforded the benefits and care they deserve when they are harmed while serving our great nation, whether it be through combat or environmental exposures," said Mike Partain, who was born at Camp Lejeune and who suffered from male breast cancer.

For folks from Lejeune, if you're not sure about various illnesses, check the Agent Orange presumptive list on the VA website. http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/agentorange/conditions/
Agent Orange is primarily Dioxin. Dioxins are a large component of the contaminants at Lejuene, so this is the guide to go by. Please visit a VSO such as DAV or VFW for assistance with your claims - don't do it alone.
What is unique about this case is that family members are also eligible for VA compensation here...
Now if they could just do this for Fort McClellan...

well i can tell you i've been in the registry since this came out nothing by the va, they will not come to you until you go to themcalled local rep and waiting ive had parkison like symptoms last several years they need to react and give what should be given before its too late
