Gov. Abbott Is Right: Texas Has The Right To Defend Itself And Secure Its Border

Abbot is wrong and breaking the law.

To be clear here. Texas has the obligation and duty to provide security and protection for its people, not the border with Mexico. While their job isn't to man and provide security to the border (unless called upon by the federal government), our federal government is clearly not doing the job THEY are obligated to do in the Constitution. This lack of action conflicts with Texas' duty and it initially affects Texas residents before it reaches non-border states. I could understand the Biden admin's actions if they actually had things under control, but they don't. These are the times they must go to the states for help. But one, they aren't asking for help, despite the fact things are not under control, and two, they are fighting the states who are in fact trying to help for their own good. How does this make sense? The President is clearly trying to hurt and destroy this country.

It is also clear that the SCOTUS cannot help entirely here too. They are looking at the law and the law states it is the federal government's responsibility to secure the border. Compelling Biden to do more will not help because "doing more" can be considered subjective (even though it really isn't). So that leaves us with one recourse. For Congress to continue the impeachment inquiries and conclude an impeachment is in order here, starting with the DHS Secretary. If additional significant measures are not applied by the Biden admin as a result, then it is time to impeach him for the failure to enforce the law. Without the Senate and barely a House, we're essentially stuck. So we either pressure the moderate Democrats to do their job or we had better come up with a very resounding election result in favor of leaders that will take action. I don't care on this issue if they are Democrat or Republican... Get off your ass and protect your country!
