Why does London have so many airports?

London has more airports than any other major international city...and most were built during WW2. They were converted for civilian use and are at capacity.

LTC Eugene Chu Oh Yeah, I Remember, I Lived in London. I Like Heathrow probably the Best for Convenience.

I’ve flown into Heathrow and Stansted. The former is better for amenities and location. The latter for cost saving from Europe.
