Washington schools chief encourages educators to embrace AI and use it in class

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel This is my opinion as a teacher. (Feel free to agree or disagree, it doesn't bother me) I feel AI it taking away critical thinking from kids. Don't know the answer? AI it. Don't want to write that paper because it is boring and takes too much time? AI it. Don't feel like learning what is necessary? Who cares? AI will do it for you. I've already seen students using AI for their homework but when test time comes the can't do the problems because they never bothered to learn it, they fail because they used AI and copied what was on the screen. Seattle had it right to begin with, ban it from schools.
