Trump to face new civil trial for duping investors with failed phone

Donald Trump is set to face another civil trial for allegedly duping investors into putting money into a failed video phone.
The trial relates to the activities of ACN Inc, a multilevel marketing firm, and is scheduled to start on 29 January, though the case might be pushed to a later date, reported Newsweek.
Four anonymous plaintiffs in the proposed class action accused Mr Trump, his children Donald Jr, Eric and Ivanka, and an affiliate of the Trump Organization of promoting ACN in exchange for millions of dollars in secret payments from 2005 to 2015.
The plaintiffs said Mr Trump’s endorsement, including on episodes of his TV show The Celebrity Apprentice, conned them into thinking their investments would pay off.
ACN would charge $499 to clients to sell videophones and other goods, the plaintiffs alleged, in the lawsuit moved before Manhattan court in 2018. They said the real goal was for the Trumps to enrich themselves, including through the receipt of millions of dollars in secret payments from 2005 to 2015.
"Trump also told investors that he had ‘experienced the opportunity’ and ‘done a lot of research,’ and that his endorsement was ‘not for any money.’ Not a word of this was true," the lawsuit reportedly states.
Earlier, the Trumps claimed they had no control over ACN, that Trump’s endorsement was simply his opinion and that the civil lawsuit – one of many they face – was politically motivated.

I remember how Donald endorsed Trump University on “The Apprentice”. In personal opinion, this lawsuit is similar to the class action over his defunct fraudulent school.

Regardless whether you like the Trumps or Trump, or not doesn't it seem odd or 'lucky' it always seems to be an "anonymous" source(s) and when the brass tacks come down no proof is brought forth? There is certainly circumstantial evidence that they seem to charge the man and then look for a crime to charge him and almost all, if not all, of those accusations have proven false and almost always if not always it comes from anonymous sources. Multiple City and State DA's actually ran on a platform that he/she would 'get" Trump if it was the last thing they did after they were elected. As far as investing on someone's 'recommendation', all investing has implied risk if not more. There is no guarantee of a positive return if you invest in anything. I will say that if he is guilty then he should serve time in prison as should many of the criminals and potential traitors in our current Congress and Administration. There certainly seems to be plenty of evidence showing that there are multiple people guilty of very serious charges the least not being Senator Menendez and President Joe Biden and family. They have certainly done more damage to our Nation than others and with at a minimum very strong circumstantial evidence to continue any investigations.
If you step back and remove your hatred of an individual and maybe you don't hate him and look at what is actually going on with Trump and the rest of the government it is clearly a political hit job. Do you really want to be associated with a government that claims to be a democracy, which we are not, and goes after political opponents because they feel threatened? That is not how a Constitutional Republic should function, should it? Like a banana republic dictatorship? Why are we hiding the Epstein list from the public? Oh, but I digress...
