I even got to spend a night aboard years ago when My son was in Boy Scouts in Millis, MA and We slept in the crew bunks had diner and breakfast aboard the ship. Also art 2200 Hours Taps was played on the Ships sound system In the morning We were awaken by the playing of reveille There are also other ships there in Battleship cove including a Destroyer, The USS Joseph E. Kennedy and a submarine, The USS Lionfish plus PT boats and a PT boat museum. There is even a former Soviet Union guided missile Frigate moored there. During visiting hours seven days a week all the ships can be visited inside and outside. All the ships are being maintained and in great condition. After the visitors left the scout had the run of the ship but they also had talks by former crew members and films. There were other Youth there, both Sea Cadets and Junior Maines who hold their meetings on the USS Massachusetts and were aboard and on duty as cadets and in their uniforms during the visit by the Boy Scouts. I have been on the Battleship, North Carolina back in 2005. I have been on the Battleships, Missouri and on the Iowa.

The texas was unique to me because of the dreadnought battleship design.
