The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recalled another batch of eye drops just weeks after it warned consumers about over two dozen eye drop products.
On Wednesday, FDA announced that 27 products from brands including CVS Health, Leader (Cardinal Health), Rugby (Cardinal Health), Rite Aid, Target, Velocity Pharma, and Walmart were being recalled due to potential safety concerns "after FDA investigators found insanitary conditions."
The products are being voluntarily recalled by manufacturing company Kilitch Healthcare India Limited. The recalled products include all lot numbers and have expiration dates between November 2023 to September 2025.
The FDA said the manufacturer will inform its distributor Velocity Pharma LLC who will inform retailers and wholesalers about the voluntary recall and coordinate returning impacted products.
