"I support Tuberville. No tax payer money for abortion."

I don't think it is really about that. I think it is all about power as it is in most political moves. Here we have one person disrupting the entire system.

What we have is one person standing onthe principles that got him elected. He is representing those that put him there and their wishes. He is actually a Senator that is doing what he said he would do if elected. Don't think that for one minute if the roles were reversed a Democrat wouldn't be doing the same thing. The procedure is there for areason and both sides have and will continue to use it for their gain.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth - I agree with the second part of your statement, but not so sure of the first part.
But that is just my opinion of course.

Hey guys, these are the rules EVERYONE agrees to play by, right?

Dems: right
Reps: right

......

Dems: we aren't getting our way, we want to change the rules.

Please note, they have not decided it is a bad rule that they need to get rid of. They just want to ignore the rule they agree is still a good rule. Just this once. So they can get their way.

How very Veruca Salt of them.

The military allowing a servicemember to use a medical TDY to go to a state that allows abortion is NOT PAYING FOR THE ABORTION! That's ALL they allow is for someone to travel to get one. It's the same as paying for them to travel to get any medical procedure not available at their MTF or in the state.

Servicemembers have always had to pay for their own abortions and still have to. The MTF personnel can't even recommend an abortion clinic.

Tuberville is a joke - he's a joke as a member of Congress. FFS the guy said there was "nobody more military" than him on the Senate Armed Services Committee...which is an extremely ridiculous take when he's never served a day in his life but there are veterans on that committee who did. He's a joke. Anyone who agrees with him is an extremely sad, sad individual.
