Yet another overstep by Biden.
Not saying this is a bad idea or that it doesn't need to happen. But the President does not make law. And "requiring industry to develop safety and security standards," can only be done through law. Biden can recommend, request, encourage, or prompt. But he cannot require. That is Congress' purview.
