I just went through end of life care with my dad. The three kids rotated weeks of taking care of him.

Nobody is "ready." Unless you have done elder care for a living, the skills and tasks are going to be entirely new. And even if you have done elder care, it is different when ot is your parent.

It sucks. There is no other way to say it. But it is one of those things that is just part of life. Muddle through and drive on.
