Michael Cohen, the onetime lawyer and fixer for former President Donald Trump, came face to face with his former boss in a New York courtroom on Tuesday.
Cohen was at the New York County Supreme Court to testify in a civil trial alleging the former president inflated the value of his assets to land better business deals and tax benefits.
During his testimony, Cohen said that Trump had asked him to "increase the total assets based upon a number that he arbitrarily elected."
His responsibility, along with that of former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg, "was to reverse engineer the very different asset classes, increase those assets in order to achieve the numbers" Trump had asked for.

MSG Stan Hutchison - I must have misread it, I could have sworn I read that they overvalued the tax valuation of some properties. Oh, it's what the good LTC wrote, "Trump Organization intentionally gave phony figures for tax valuation of assets."

Cohen has strong credibility. As Trump’s fixer, he followed Trump’s alleged orders for hush money over Stormy Daniel’s hush money and lying about family assets. He has compared himself to Sammy Gravano and Trump to John Gotti.

PV2 Larry Sellnow - He should have refused to help Trump if he knew what he was doing was wrong so he is just as guilty as Trump. How is he creditable? I'm not against Trump being charged and prosecuted for what he did but Cohen is out to protect his own ass any way he can and will testify to anything the prosecution says to do so.

PV2 Larry Sellnow - Of course Trump will lie, all politicians do and if you were facing prison time you would also to save your butt. My point is that Cohen will be nothing more than a puppet for the prosecution to save his ass. He still is not a creditable witness. He needs to go to prison right there with Trump. They can be cell mates!
