Amazing how many Veterans on this board actually support that antimilitary bigot.

Amazing how many veterans on this board don't have a clue what is going on, but buy that liberal media line that Tuberville is somehow standing in the way of military operations and somehow impacting military readiness and "national security"

MSG Thomas Currie - He is. Denying appointments has to cause serious morale issues as well as diruption in the chain of command.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Except for two problems with your gripe:
1. No appointments are being denied and no positions are being left vacant. A few generals have to add the word "Acting" in front of their position title while waiting confirmation. Some of those generals are also having to survive on the same pay they've been getting rather than getting their pay raise, for the time being, but they will get back pay when confirmed.
2. It's not Tuberville single-handedly holding up the confirmations. Your boy Chuck can hold the confirmation vote any time he wants to, all Tuberville is holding up is being able to do all the confirmations in one package without a vote.

Other than increasing naval presence what escalation? The Israelis have the ability to take care of business, all they need is our support. Where’s the outcry for the morons in Congress demanding Israel cease fires? The fact is, the US military is not the ones responding to this, so it hardly makes sense to tie this conflict to Sen Tuderville’s demands from the military to adhere to the intent of the law.

It doesn't have to make sense -- that has never been a requirement for the liberal media when supporting a Democrat or attacking a Republican.

Sometimes if you sound the issue out and provide perspective, some might actually have an epiphany.
