Of course "60 Minutes" is slanting their report to support the Biden Administration, but in general the information appears to be correct. There is always some amount of "fraud, waste, and abuse" in any armed conflict -- certainly we lost track of both money and weapons in every war we have ever fought, I doubt Ukraine is doing any better, but I don't see evidence that they are doing much worse either.

Bottom line: The war in Ukraine is the cheapest and most effective way to gain intel about Russia and to directly damage their forces -- it beats the hell out of having US troops battling the Russians. The only downside I see is that there is some small danger that the Russians might get smarter from the experience (they certainly can't get any dumber).
