Ethiopian runner Tigst Assefa set a new women's world record at the BMW Berlin Marathon on Sunday, smashing the previous top time by more than two minutes.
Assefa, 26, crossed the finish line at the Brandenburg Gate with a time of 2:11:53.
The previous world record had been held by Brigid Kosgei, who completed a 2019 marathon in Chicago in 2:14:04.

But if they allow trantifa transgender men to join the race, she will lose. Look what happened to a guy who went transgender and got second place in california. His run time was exact run time I had in 10th Grade and that was no winning time by any stretch of the imagination.
I am glad she won but with the stupid equity, inclusion and diversity including biological males to join and participate in female sports, the days of women actually winning the marathon our numbered. I meant real women born as females are going to have their days numbered because of Bio males are going to beat them.
