IF WE NEVER HAD OXYGEN ON OUR PLANET, WOULD THERE BE LIFE HERE?
Well, I learned something this morning, which I had never contemplated! In our search for habitable planets in our near by solar systems within the Milky Way Galaxy, there would be life! Maybe not as we know it on Earth, but life... and possibly intelligent life...
Of course where these planets are physically located would depend on if we could travel to those planets in a reasonable time... We'd probably have to have created a generational space ship that could at least reach the speed of light, but it may take a thousand years to reach it...so many generations of humans would have to be born to replace those who have died until the habitable planet could be reached... Again, we would be stymied by time, stymied by other civilizations which might already be there and so on... but is it feasible? I believe that is the fundamental question...
What do you think?
