Dem Party chairwoman who once called to defund the police carjacked and assaulted in Minneapolis

Defunding the police never meant get rid of the police completely. I know you people know that. "Defund the police" was looking at all the bloated LE budgets and getting rid of those things that weren't necessary. She may have said dismantle the Minneapolis PD after George Floyd probably because of investigations showing how corrupt and racist they were. That was one PD. Not all PDs.

But it's pretty disgusting you think that it's "poetic justice" she got assaulted and carjacked.

Also: "Shivanthi Sathanandan, the 2nd Vice Chairwoman for the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party" Not a Democratic party chairwoman.

Oh and as someone who is a DV survivor, I am all for looking through our criminal justice system and definitely defunding any precinct that isn't doing its job. After my experience with police the first time I was assaulted, calling the cops is my last resort. I don't trust any cops after what i went through in that case and how inept they were at their job.

Misleading headline. The victim was DFL Second Vice Chairwoman, not the "Dem Party chairwoman."

Still looking for motive and culprits.
