Opinion: The ‘rising superpower’ myth about China | CNN

Here are my thoughts. A China that is seen to be becoming weaker either financially or in population will be like a dog backed into a corner. When it sees its objectives for the nation are not being met by any other means, it will bite and fight its way out. Just my opinion but based on my strategic studies over the years.

Russia had/has very similar problems and what are they doing right now? Issues like these have been known to make countries do drastic things. But let's also not forget they still have a very active ongoing campaign to steal technology and information, and to push human influence operations against the US and others. They are also heavily investing in areas we are neglecting, such as our neighbors to the south.
