Beyond the jabs, Wisconsin voters craved specifics from first GOP primary debate

While the first Republican presidential primary debate intrigued Wisconsin voters as it unfolded so close to home, many watching the debate in Milwaukee paid close attention to what wasn't said, expressing a desire to hear more policy details from the candidates on how they would improve the U.S. economy.
Just a mile or so east of the Fiserv Forum, at a small brewpub in Milwaukee's downtown, Americans for Prosperity, a libertarian conservative political advocacy group, organized a watch party. In a spacious, air-conditioned bar, more than 200 attendees munched on meatballs as the heat index outside clocked in at around 105 to 110.

* Alderman
* Comptrollers
* City manager
* Mayor
* City clerk
* Administrative assistant
* Municipal council
* City council member
* City attorney
* County administrator
* Commissioner
* Treasurer
* Budget Analyst
* Council-manager government
* Treasurer
* Budget Analyst
* Council-manager government
* District attorney
* Fire Chief
* City treasurer
* Deputy commissioner
* Building inspector
II. List of U.S. statewide elected officials
* Governor
* Lieutenant Governor
* Secretary of State
* Attorney General
* State Supreme Court Justices
* Comptroller
* Treasurer
* State Senators
* State Legislators
Most voters have NO-IDEA what these positions are and how they affect them on a local and state level.
They don’t know who funded they, where their slush funds accumulate from, what policies they support. No idea why or who is actually pushing agenda legislation, bills and law makers.
Politics are/were glossed over in the educational system and most citizens don’t understand or care for politics …. They operate in a lemmings mindset.
