Rebellion & Bloodshed: The Deadly Path to US Independence | The Revolution | *3 Hour Marathon*
Very long 3 hours - like movies used to be in days long past <smile>
Can't guarantee the quality of this . . . just started watching . . . looks like an interesting part historical recreation, part interview, and documentary = probably well-presented, and a lot of social history of the Revolution - which provides some nuanced perspective about the colonial, and worldwide environment in which the War was occurring.
EDIT
Apparently this is a History Channel series. In case any other folks find these interesting . . . here is more - since this particular selection left off at Charleston falling to the British.
The series about the Revolution - not in order - the first two are this one, and the prequel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sLg6D-7Cl8&list=PLob1mZcVWOagdyLLCbgnpMnN90260eDuhPrequel - 3 hours - to this video (from 1765)
This one provides a lot of insight into the setting and "mood" of the Colonists at the time. It it had not become an organized, intended, war, it would have become an anarchy to which the response may have been worse that the war was, for much longer. Clearly there was no choice other than war.
