Yeah understand the shift, but not all are sited for solar, w/o spending bucks to take out trees- Not helpful to the environment. Like electric vehicles- big problems= with charging stations, cost, delays during charging( sometimes several hours), less travel range than advertised, and oh yeah don't forget that fossil fuels are powering the electric grid, so what is the savings in cost and environment?

It's great that we]re shifting to solar power, but it also comes with a big dollar price and space and maintenance issues. But it is green.

And at this point in time, not a significant production of energy to come even close to making a dent in the US capacity needs, not to mention all the environmental damage being done to mine enough metals for current battery storage capacity . But hey, at least that damage is being done to other Countries, ie; Africa, right? Can’t wait to see the environmental damage caused by battery reclamation and exhausted battery disposal! Solar is not the answer, yet.
