Interesting LTC Eugene Chu. I see both positives and negatives regarding the sale of beer and wine in commissaries. Where I live, the closest commissary is 30 minutes to Camp Merrill. There really is no room for any additional items. Also, the “so called” Exchange/class 6 has very little in there.
If I travel sout to Robins AFB, I would still use the class 6. I suspect the beer selection in the commissaries will be basic domestic beer. I prefer craft and foreign beers, I don’t do wine but like my whiskey, foreign and domestic.
We’ll just have to see how this works out over time.

Why shouldn't Commissaries carry those items, the Package stores have for years. I am sure folks can not use food stamps or EBT to buy alcohol so that should not have any influence on the issue.
