Prior Lake VFW Post 6208 is in dire need of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) code compliance upgrades, remodeling and repair. We are required to build two new handicap ramps, widen our entrance door, add an additional staircase entryway to the lower floor as well as enlarge and modify the existing one. We must also provide dedicated ADA service space at the bar and dining areas, as well as install an elevator to allow disabled Vets to use the lower floor conference areas. In addition, the 100-plus year old building that we occupy is overdue for roof, ceiling, plumbing, electrical upgrades and floor repairs.
