Some may have gotten a read of this - but many probably have not. Sure - the big ticket is what the Ukrainians are learning... but its not always written in a way that looks at other things. This is an excellent look at the battle for Marawi in the Philippines and many aspects of urban warfare not always looked at by US focused looks at warfare. The battle itself is at best a tactical victory and a strategic defeat much as Mosul has proven to have been. It was a close run thing... until it wasn't! But the destruction of the city has proven to have been a long term item that may well fuel the next round.
