As a whole the country does not succeed if if continue to push mediocre students to the forefront of College Education. I personally do not subscribe to the "Blacks are disadvantaged" theory. I have seen and known too many Blacks that have risen to the top because they were genuinely very smart and talented people. There are disadvantaged people from all races as there are talented people form all races. We stop this race baiting game by stopping the use of the race as a judgement for anything. Dr King hit the nail on the head, judge by their character not the color of their skin.

Reality here is when the left starting losing African-Americans they created this 'people of color' to include all non-whites against the evil white man. Truth is when Western European culture blends with Asians we have a group of unbeatable people that do not need advancement based on skin color. I never knew how far an Asian mom could jump up a kids a*& until my daughter talked back and I don't win battles with my wife. To keep pushing the socialist/Communist agenda the left cannot afford merit based success and needs everyone to be non-achievers as that is how you bring in such governments. In those ways of life everyone is equally at the bottom, no drive to become a medical doctor when the janitor is paid the same. So of course some Asians will not agree with this as they have been duped into admission based on race, not merit, which is pure 100% racism.

The Tiger Mom deflection is perpetuating model minority myth. Your remark about Western European culture blends with Asians is similar to Asians being second class in apartheid era South Africa compared to other minorities.
While some success is due to hard work, a significant amount comes from socio-economic status. Meritocracy is unequal since some from richer backgrounds have advantages compared to those from poorer backgrounds...or racial bias.

'Tiger Mother' meets reality: Asian-American students struggle, too
Many of the nation’s Asian-American students struggle in community college, complicating the 'Tiger Mother' narrative of Asian-American student success.

Respectfully Sir, you made LTC in probably the best Army in the world. Was it because your parents are wealthy or affirmative action? The over riding belief in this country from pro-Affirmative action that those are the only two ways non-whites are successful in this country.
