The casts of Hamilton as written by Lin-Manuel Miranda are educating the audience every night they perform. I spent 2 shows in the room where it happened.

Let's see,,, how many times was Hamilton elected to public office? Oh, that's right, none! Perhaps that is why he did not like democracy.

Umm, we do not, nor have we ever had a democracy. He was not alone in distrusting a pure democracy, most of the founders agreed with him in that. Jefferson wrote to William Hunter in 1790; “The republican is the only form of government which is not eternally at open or secret war with the rights of mankind.” In an 1814 letter to John Taylor, John Adams wrote; “Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.” He also wrote in an 1807 essay; "Democracy, will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes, and no man's life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure and every one of these will soon mold itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues, and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit, and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few." Benjamin Rush noted; "A simple democracy is the devil's own government." In a 1786 letter to the Marquis de Lafayette, Washington wrote; "It is one of the evils of democratical [sic] governments, that the people, not always seeing and frequently misled, must often feel before they can act right; but then evil of this nature seldom fail to work their own cure." Our first Chief Justice John Jay noted; "Too many... love pure democracy dearly. They seem not to consider that pure democracy, like pure rum, easily produces intoxication, and with it a thousand mad pranks and fooleries.” I could go on.
We are in fact a Constitutional Federal Republic. It contains some aspect of a Democracy in that The members of the Executive and Legislative branches are elected by the citizens of the respective states. However the fact that the Federal is granted limited powers necessary to by the states, "... to establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence[sic], promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity...." All other powers are reserved to the States or to the People. (Article IV Section 4, and the Tenth Amendment).

The very reason the constitution was created was to give the people freedom over government, and we have a administration that feel the need to remove those right and commit illegal criminal active to change those very rights to gain power over the people. Uncle Joe has done more harm the good with the policy created from day 1 in office while we the people pay for it with higher taxes and inflation just to name a few

MSG Stan Hutchison - And there is the rub, according to the whistleblower testimony, Justice blocked investigations and suppressed evidence. There have also been various documents that have been read into the records, including some that Hunter's lawyers didn't even try to deny instead saying he can't be held responsible for what he said since he was probably high as a kite. Then there are the various suspicious activities reports, Other unclassified forms that the FBI redacted before showing to Congress, in a SCIF no less. Allegations from IRS agents that they had investigations blocked, that certain things and people were off limits. Nor can the Durham Report be fairly called opinion. Plus, it is highly critical of the very people who should be investigating all of this.

To a degree perhaps, though both the prosecutor and at least one IRS investigator have independently stated the investigation was interfered with. Face it two misdemeanors and a pretrial diversion program in the place of multiple felonies is a pretty sweet deal.
