As of Tuesday afternoon, international rescue crews are still searching the North Atlantic for a submersible vessel that was taking five people to view the wreckage from the Titanic.
Authorities estimate there's only enough oxygen in the sub for those onboard to survive less than two days.

I don't see how they could possibly have that much air left. I think they are just putting stuff out to give the families hope. I know that on one of my boats, we lost 1 of our o2 generators and within hours we were at 14% o2 content. I will look into the specs on that mini sub for verification, but I would expect it to have a mixed gas setup for operating at those depths with external/built in pressure vessels with the selected gas ratio. This was never expected to be more than a few hour dive, mainly because of the o2 storage, or lack thereof.
