I don't see how they could possibly have that much air left. I think they are just putting stuff out to give the families hope. I know that on one of my boats, we lost 1 of our o2 generators and within hours we were at 14% o2 content. I will look into the specs on that mini sub for verification, but I would expect it to have a mixed gas setup for operating at those depths with external/built in pressure vessels with the selected gas ratio. This was never expected to be more than a few hour dive, mainly because of the o2 storage, or lack thereof.
I'll post what I find on the specs.
