Orlando COP and Sheriff’s Deputy Clash Over Traffic Stop for Speeding

MSG Joseph Cristofaro - I understand that. I rarely call in. But when I see a cop California stop, then pull up to his home? (My work has me "out in the field" regularly, I have identified a few different LE homes.) Or when a cop is speeding FAR outside their jurisdiction? And not "emergency response" level speeding. Not 90 on the interstate, but 78. If I see a cop going 90 or 100 down the freeway, I assume they are doing it for a good reason, with or without lights. Or they are blasting through a school zone - at 30 mph. Obviously not an emergency, but just couldn't be bothered to slow down for kids.

Those are the ones I report. And get laughed at.

I fully understand and support our LEOs need to violate traffic laws to do their job. However I refuse to accept them violating traffic laws just because they can. Especially not when in a government vehicle.

MSG Joseph Cristofaro - Been there....done that. I got called out by an Lt from a different agency for rolling through a stop sign at 3am when I was a deputy. I was responding to a call....for assistance...FROM HIS DEPARTMENT. (2 different dispatchers-2 different radio signals, if the other agency doesn't press the "Scan" button in their patrol unit, they will never heard both sides of the conversation or they get bled over. This Lt only had a one track mind and being late to the shows was always a priority for him.

Needless to say, the event was stabilized to wit: the bad dead guy was (eventually) deaded (lol yeah I enjoy bastardizing the engrish language) and I told the stupid ass Lt to his face to fuck off... at 3am there isn't a lot of traffic, the crossroads was clear...and his OFFICERS survived to live another day thanks to our efforts.
