A former student of mine and his father robbed a convenience store a couple days ago. The clerk gave them the money but as they were walking out the door my former student shot the girl in the head. He didn't seem like a troubled youth to me when he was in my class. Always tried to do the work. I suspect Mark III knew the girl and she recognized him and he figured the only way to silence her was to kill her. I doubt it will happen, but I hope they get the death penalty for this. This is the fourth former student that I know of that has committed murder. R.I.P. Tava Woodard.

So sorry to hear this Cpl Vic Burk it’s tough enough knowing there was a murder. From the little I know I’m sure you did all you could as a teacher. Sometimes, we just have to let go after they leave us.

Maj Kim Patterson I never would have figured this kid to be capable of murder, but it's been four years since he was in my class and lots of things can change in that time. I feel sorry mostly for the girl and her family. She was just doing a job and then this and all for no good reason.
