My takeaway from this is that our government is addicted to spending. They are literally unable to spend what they make (or less). And, yes, literally, not figuratively.

Our politicians - both Republican and Democrat - have sold out the American people. They have decided being popular (and winning re-election) is more important than doing what is right for America. They have decided they would rather buy your votes with YOUR OWN MONEY (and your grandkids money) than EARN your votes by being good stewards of our great nation.

It is despicable.

Looking to trim fat ever few years is healthy. Making cuts that do more than trim the fat may not be. Our entire system, government included, is designed to keep us fighting while a very few hoard the majority of societal wealth.
