A Star Wars-themed hotel at Walt Disney World is being shut down about a year after opening, the company announced.
The hotel, which is marketed as a two-night immersive experience, will take its last bookings Sep. 28 to 30. New bookings are being paused until May 26 to first accommodate those who made reservations after September.

Darn I wanted to spend $2500 a night for a hotel room with a few amenities

People are traveling like they used to prior to the pandemic. Instead many are choosing to stay within a state or two away. The cost to take a family to Walt Disney World is prohibitive for a family, especially those who are barely buying the basics of groceries
