"Now they're going to rename the installation, so hopefully that's going to take away the negative PR," Sean Timmons, a Texas-based managing partner for the Tully Rinckey law firm and a former judge advocate general at Fort Hood, told Military.com in an interview last month. "But it's just going to be a new name and the same business as usual practices. It's not going to change anything."
Pretty much hit the nail on the head with that one! I also think by changing the name, it gives soldiers a chance to re-group, set new goals, and change for the better. However; it's all about the motivation of those stationed at Fort Cavazos, and their desire to change.

I know it's a completely different discussion, but I don't agree with the reason the DoD is changing the names of several bases. It's purely political, and someone's desire to remove history from society.
But hey, it's nothing I have control over, so I just need to "let it go, let go, can't hold it back anymore. . . "
One more thing, the Washington Redskins will always be the Washington Redskins. I don't care what they call themselves this week or next. I say the Washington Redskins and all football fans know who I'm talking about. GO COWBOYS!
