Hmmm....

So they failed to research their school. Utilized their benefits and were properly paid by the VA. Were taken advantage of by the school.

And now want me to pay for it?

If they were defrauded, their remedy is via the school, not the VA (read: US taxpayer).

Caveat Emptor.

So blame the victim, their spouses, and their families, many who were in the combat arms? FYI: We are also going after the schools, DOD, and VA. https://www.forbes.com/sites/dereknewton/2021/07/30/report-veterans-who-use-gi-bill-have-lower-incomes-after-college-enrollments/

CPT Dahn Shaulis I am not blaming the victim. I am refusing to take responsibility for someone else victimizing them.

Going after the DoD or VA for your own failure is just plain wrong.

From your article:
"In other words, if veterans make good educational choices and avoid the bad, mostly for-profit programs, they’re more likely to see a return on their investment of time and our collective investment of money."

Bad decisions are the responsibility of the decision maker.

Once again, Caveat Emptor.

And the same goes for the government then. Why should these subprime schools continue to get taxpayer money?
