Sounds to me like she is just looking for 10 mins of fame. She was made aware of the dress code rules when enrolled so waited until going to the prom to say anything or requesting a waiver, at least the article didn't say anything about that.

Agreed. Nashville Christian School is a "private" school which means they set their own rules. The student and HER family was very well aware of the rules, I'm sure.

Boy! She’s going to be in for a rude awakening when she starts working. I just posted an article earlier this morning about Generation Z being fired at larger rates than normal because they can’t conform and take offense to everything. Maybe they just like conflict.

--- They don't "take offense" to everything. They just don't put up with being abused by toxic employers. Good for them they don't conform. Means the Gen X and millennial parents are doing something right and stopping generational trauma that was inflicted on us.

These kinds of people will be really successful self-employed. Trying to maintain employment, if not willing to conform to a set of standards, will be very difficult.

Unfortunately some places are still stuck in the 1950's. The old conservatives are dying out though and we will be able to make some progress in the near future.
