Nearly 300 silver coins believed to be more than 1,000 years old have been discovered near a Viking fortress site in north-west Denmark, a museum has said.
The trove – lying in two spots not far apart – was unearthed by a girl who was metal-detecting in a cornfield last autumn.
“A hoard like this is very rare,” Lars Christian Norbach, the director of the North Jutland Museum, where the artefacts will go on display, told Agence France-Presse.

I have been collecting about $1,500 in silver in the last month and a half due to uncertainty of our us dollar. I haven't bought any gold yet because the price has been too high but the price of silver hasn't been that extreme and I'm buying as much of it as I can. Here are some 1879 to 1886 us Morgan silver dollars and some early 1950s Canadian 50 cent piece and a 1965 Canadian silver dollar. Canada switched away from Silver in 1965 after the US Got Away in 1964. The rapid spending by the by the administration and the threat of the US dollar being marginalized by China, Russia and others makes me want to collect more coins as a hedge against inflation because the Canadian dollar is also affected as well. President Biden is the new Nero because he doesn't seem to Really Care much about the US dollar being pushed aside. Look how Brazil is now negotiating with China to pay in Chinese currency and the French went to kiss ass just a couple weeks ago. Our Administration cares more about climate change and not much more because I believe President Biden is compromised.

I'm sure these coins are worth thousands of dollars a piece or more. I know Roman coins sell for a few hundred dollars a piece just for something the size of a 25-cent piece.

By the way, the silver dollars cost about $34 each. The 50 cent pieces cost about $12 each. An antique store just sells them for the weight of silver not for the actual value of the coins. I did not spend 1500 bucks for these coins. I have been buying coins weekly. I collect them since I was young but with the economy going in the toilet and the dollar future uncertain, I'm having tangible assets not just oil oil and energy stocks which present Biden has made more lucrative due to his stupid climate change agenda. Even if 25% of our cars when Electric, it would take down the grid so oil and energy is here to stay for the long term.
