Let's not forget that inflation reduction act has 360 billion that could be used for climate change medication and it never has no end it could be up to 1 trillion dollars over many years to bribe other countries to switch over to clean energy at the expensive our own economy and causing inflation. We could clog that money back and use it for keeping our Navy strong and for restocking around ammunition but the Church of the green New Deal is more important. Our dumb president considers China a near peer competitor not a mortal enemy even though they flew a spy balloon with a plus size sensors over our country and President Biden purposely waited until it was off the coast to shoot it down. Our priorities are backward and foxtrot climate change mitigation!
When in a bad peace, prepared for war and forget about climate change because nuclear war will bring it anyway but the Church of the green New Deal isn't want to tell you that!

The boats that were converted to SSGN's may not operate in stealth mode anymore, because they don't have to. They aren't nuclear deterrent boats any longer. They are enforcers of democracy, not enders of continents.
Those of us who have been on patrol know that 4 knots to nowhere is the life of a deterrent patrol. You might get lucky and get a mid patrol break port call, but not always. Secrecy is paramount for those missions.
The missions of the fast attack fleet vary by platform, as it does with any battalion in the Army. Intelligence gathering, mine laying, spec ops, etc.
This article was written to cast doubt on the mission that we submariners do and the machines that allow us to do it. Nothing more, nothing less.
