Pretty innovative using a mothership concept with a 'landing craft'.

I think the long pole in this tent is not going to be the technology, it's going to be the regulation. The demonstrations are good when there is only one drone flying around. Assuming that politicians won't be luddites and allow this to progress, you'll have to develop "UAV Traffic Patterns" in the sky .. liability .. regulated operator training .. etc. Basically everything that the development and use of the automobile went though over the years since it's introduction.

Drones are nothing new their just fancy rc remote control aircraft where it's just a reinvention of the wheel is all. There is a helicopter on Mars too. Drones have good images to be able to fly to remote areas where emergency vehicles have a hard time making it to. Look up the jet suit, vertical take off and landing in a suit like iron man. Give all inventors good remarks and help in their journeys.
