I worked with a nuclear engineer at General Electric who previously helped bring the Reactor Prototype (SIR/S1G) for the US Navy's USS Seawolf SSN-575 online before the US Navy decided it was a problem child. He said that "if the oceans had been made of pure sodium, GE would have designed the first pressurized water reactor." That's about as close to funny as you can get in nuclear engineering.
