Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen While in RCOH (Did that on 2 Nuclear Cruisers) They will let the Manning Slip a Little since the Technical Serivces aren't needed and are mostly provided by the Shipyard, Having said that, Never below 1/2 the Normal Crew Size. On a Carrier this Size there should still be at least 500 Active Duty Souls still assigned.

It's diesel powered, or kerosene. They've had problems with the engines for decades. Last time out, it was towed to a location and anchored so they could launch attacks from a floating airport. Pretty pathetic war fighting ability. Really makes me wonder if the bear is completely toothless beyond their nuclear capabilities.

It's fuel powered anyway. Can't remember for sure which fuel, but it's definitely not nuclear.

How do you know there is no crew? Russians aren't always honest and are known for being deceptive, they invented the term maskirovka.
