There is no violation of anyone's religous beliefs around this subject. You have FAKE Christian's claiming that their religious beliefs are somehow bring violated. They have perverted the Bible to justify their hatred and bigorty. We are commanded by Jesus to love everyone as he loved us and that is without bias, prejudice and judgement.

Love does not usually mean honoring and encouraging delusion.
You are not a religious expert. You are DEFINITELY not an expert in Kluge's religious beliefs. You have zero authority to declare or judge what is or is not against anyone else's religion.
Judaism and Christianity both teach that we are created in God's image and also that God don't make no mistakes. Claiming you are in the wrong body can be seen to go against both of those concepts. Can be seen as blasphemy, even.
You can love someone without condoning their blasphemy.
His accommodation created no burden on anyone but himself, and caused no harm to anyone. He wasn't "misgendering" anyone. He wasn't calling them by their bitth name. He was simply avoiding having to delineate between his reality and theirs.
Additionally, orchestra implies a larger size group. Calling people by their last name just makes more sense in a larger group. The chances of having to differentiate between two O'Mallys is much lower than differentiating between two Caseys. Even two Smiths is less likely than two Johns.
This was literally about forcing him to abandon his religion despite it having ZERO impact on the students. It doesn't really matter if you or I agree with his beliefs, the 1st Amendment allows him to have them. And government isn't allowed to stop him from exercising his beliefs, provided they don't harm others. In this case, he wasn't even ACTIVELY exercising his beliefs, just not abandoning them.

Your comment is overly broad in it's condemnation. You have no insight as to their sincerity, perversion (by your standards) of Biblical truths, or whether they are filled with hatred or bigotry.
"3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’, when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
The Gospel According to S. Matthew 7:3-5 English Standard Version (Anglicized)
You are sitting in judgement on people you have never met. Loving your fellow man does not necessarily mean that you extend approval for each and every sin or perversion they might commit. In the Biblical sense Love is wishing the best for our brothers and sisters within the Lord's intentional ordering of creation. Again, that shouldn't be construed as a blanket endorsement of every life style or behavior. It also doesn't mean that people should be shunned because their lives are out of bounds from the normal Christian's viewpoint. How can we as Christians witness to those who have fallen away if we are judgmental towards them.

Capt Gregory Prickett and the court was wrong.
Being called by your last name is not harmful.
Unless he was calling only the trans students by last name - which there is no mention of in the article - it is professional victims FINDING a way to be "harmed."

Capt Gregory Prickett I had only the article to go on,which leaves a lot out. Thank you for posting the opinion.
I still contend that simply calling by last name is not harmful. And reading through the decision, that is not what went wrong here.
It is clear to me that he clearly communicated his bias to the students. Using Miss or Mr. and first names for some of the students some of the time but never for Trans students is a problem.
Putting birth names on the student files is also a problem.
And I am sure there were a dozen other ways he communicated his disdain.
It wasn't the last names, it was the individual.
But yes, after reading through the decision, there was harm.

I concur. Why walk into a minefield when we have a map? These folks are all too predictable.
