My comment, "Naloxone is a measure to help in an overdose of fentanyl that is a scourge in our schools today. Doesn't common sense dictate that closing the borders and stopping drugs from coming into the United States a better option?
According to the CDC, 107,375 people in the United States died of drug overdoses and drug poisonings in the 12-month period ending in January 2022. A staggering 67 percent of those deaths involved synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Those deaths are more than the 101,857 U.S. Military that died in the Korean, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars combined. Terrible numbers yet this administration wants to keep open borders. Why?"
Article snippet: With overdoses near record highs because of the prevalence of fentanyl, Gov. Gavin Newsom called in his recent budget proposal for $3.5 million to supply middle and high schools with naloxone — even as a potential deficit looms and some programs face cuts.
