Elon Musk: "I FINALLY BOUGHT General Motors!"

If true, Musk may have bitten off more than he can chew. Musk has a genius for solving engineering problems. GM's problems, the ones that dragged them into insolvency, aren't related to engineering. GM was bankrupt by their employees. Firing them won't help. If Musk bought GM, he also bought contracts obligating GM (whomever owns it) to pay off massive debt for pensions and benefits. Musk hasn't had to deal with these problems inasmuch as Tesla, SpaceX, et al are not union shops. The minute they are, Musk may as well load himself and his fortune onto Starships and blast off for Mars. His time on Earth is up...
