Was kind of hoping one of the Navy's investments might be Oceanography.
Everyone is getting on the same bandwagon . . . of course "to stay ahead of potential enemies". Preparation for A.I. warfare (what a concept!) as a result of quantum computer and machine learning?
I'm not a fan of government "leveraging private sector innovation rather than developing everything in-house."
The close relationship between government and industry leading up to Nazi Germany expansion . . . before the relationship became abusive to the population . . . was considered to be good for the economy, and admired by the U.S.A. in those years leading up to war.
