When we lived there the lake was an afterthought to the residents. It is an afterthought no longer. The people on the west side of Salt Lake are paying a much n=heavier price than they did before. It is the western portion of Salt Lake that was the least desirable to live in due to the industrialization that existed there. I was not aware, at the time, that the lake served essentially as an industrial waste receptacle. We lived on a bench in Sandy and had a beautiful view of the valley, particularly beautiful at night
