Me thinks there are some very obvious reasons there has been a steady exodus of the "membership" from the Episcopal Church over the past few years. The core reason is false biblical teachings.

As a Pastor who was required to fill out forms every year reporting the number of Baptisms, Funerals, transfers in and out, I can tell you that the losses are likely much more than that. Most years I just turned in the same stats as the year before because it was too depressing to report the truth….and I am a conservative, confessional Lutheran. With the removal of almost everything biblical, the liberal church must face the fact that without the saving message of Christ you are no longer a church!

LTC Thomas Tennant - Yes, even the conservative Lutheran churches are declining. I serve an amazing congregation that is growing, but that is the exception. My own assessment is that we have way too many churches in geographic areas where they were once popular. Also, the “big box” non denominational churches siphon off lots of folks, and then those folks just get tired and stop participating. The COVID thing hit churches hard as well.

The concerted effort from all parts of society to suppress belief in the Christ is having it's effect.

Bishop Iker's split with 815 should have been a wake up call but just as reported of the Jew's:

I believe it is false biblical teachings. The bible is neither to be added to nor anything taken away from it. It is to be read as is and is without error and is the infallible, inerrant, holy word of God.
