Twitter will no longer enforce its policy against COVID-19 misinformation, raising concerns among public health experts and social media researchers that the change could have serious consequences if it discourages vaccination and other efforts to combat the still-spreading virus.
Eagle-eyed users spotted the change Monday night, noting that a one-sentence update had been made to Twitter's online rules: "Effective November 23, 2022, Twitter is no longer enforcing the COVID-19 misleading information policy."

All the hand wringing ninnies can bugger off! if you get the vaccine you won’t get covid? Fact or misinformation? Ivermectin is ineffective ? Fact or misinformation ? The virus came from a wet market? Fact, Misinformation, or guess? The virus came from Wuhan lab? Fact, misinformation or guess? Well Biden clearly spread disinformation when he said getting the vaccine would prevent you from getting Covid.

Who decides what is disinformation anyway? Let's put information out there and let folks decide for themselves if they believe it or not. Only in a police state does someone decide what is true and not true for the population...I mean a place like North Korea. Free speech is free speech whether or not you and I agree on it. When you silence someone who refutes a post or puts a post out there on there research you are becoming a socialistic news censor like China.

Hopefully any misinformation is identified by the people who read them and countered with facts. Opinions that appear to be wrong today can turn out to be correct. It is not always easy to tell
