PV2 Larry Sellnow - the first thing bargained away in a criminal case s gun law violations. We had a felon who got in a shoot out with another guy. He was arrested and put back in jail. The woke DA refused to prosecute a felon in possession of a fire arm because it was a case of “self defense”. Redfield, the felon, rounds up his gang, does a drive by shooting and kills a young girl petting a horse. Oh, he killed the horse also. So you have gun law violations and charges dropped. Then you have a felon illegally getting a gun and killing a young girl. Which gun law would stop this? None because a woke liberal stupid DA wouldn’t do his job! Biden is even dumber than the DA.

PV2 Larry Sellnow - You have NO concept at all about You are talking about and I know full well how the court works or in many cases doesn't, I spent over 40 years in full time Law Enforcement. I've even prosecuted cases on behalf of the Police Department including cases where firearms were used. I've NEVER lost a case. It was NOT the conservatives that failed to prosecute acts of criminal violence with firearms or other deadly weapons but the Liberal left. We don't think everyone should have guns but there is a big difference between protecting basic freedoms for the majority vs. actually prosecuting and sending criminals to jail which the Left has had a massive failure upon while instead persecuting people Who committed NO criminal acts. I have first hand experience on that within court in 5 separate State jurisdictions, District and Superior Courts and four Federal Court District areas. Maybe You should attempt to lean some of the factual information that I actually have first hand experience with. It isn't more laws that are needed but to enforce the laws against violators of those laws and NOT impose on the rights of those that have broken no laws which is exactly what Biden and His cronies are attempting to do and in violation of their own oath of office to uphold the US Constitution.

I was kind of wondering what Your reference to the FDA has to do with anything discussed ,here. The Food and Drug Administration has nothing at all to do with Firearms.

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2007”.
SEC. 2. REINSTATEMENT FOR 10 YEARS OF REPEALED CRIMINAL PROVISIONS RELATING TO ASSAULT WEAPONS AND LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICES.

“(30) The term ‘semiautomatic assault weapon’ means any of the following:
“(A) The following rifles or copies or duplicates thereof: [I'll spare you the actual list, but if you want to see it, check the link.]

There are over 70 weapons listed by name. But then add this

“(L) A semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General. In making the determination, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military, or any Federal law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a firearm shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event.”

What it boils down to, if it isn't pump, bolt, lever, or slide action, THEY WANT TO TAKE IT AWAY. That's a lot of taking away by people who don't want our guns.

Here's how you stop most of the nut cases from getting/keeping firearms.
_ ENFORCE THE LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS.
_ Repeal laws that prevent protective custody for mentally ill people who are non-compos mentis and have threatened or actually posed a threat to society.
