Great to read stories like this.
Only caveat I'd add is that the VA has been providing exoskeletons to paralyzed veterans since 2015.

VA to provide robotic legs to paralyzed vets
The Veterans AffairsDepartment has agreed to pay for robotic legs that could allow scores of paralyzed veterans with spinal cord injuries to walk again.

Then why isn't this offered to EVERY paralyzed Veteran? I'm from MN and seen at the Minneapolis VAMC, I'm yet to hear of this or see any Veteran suffering being offered this.

SSgt Ann Kovarik - You'll have to ask the VA that question for a definitive answer, however I would suspect that it has only applicability to individuals that have certain type of spinal cord injuries.
If you read the article, there is a comment that states, "About 42,000 veterans are paralyzed. Of them, a fraction would meet the requirement for an exoskeleton."

I did read it and those numbers are inaccurate. The algorithm created to get those figures can be altered by why way of injury input. I know I helped create the algorithm. I was helping create it help the Veterans streamline disability pay, backdate to the date of injury, find each Veteran that is to receive those benefits automatically and get rid of the red tape, Comp testing, and loopholes.
We would not have homeless Veterans if the algorithm was used for the Veteran’s promised healthcare in return for signing the commitment to serve or those who were forced to serve.
Instead, the government uses it for their purpose only and to make it harder for the Veteran to receive those benefits.
I was the one to help implement the KIOS for travel benefits as well but now that no longer can be used, must have online access to request travel pay in MN.
