Do you think privatized PCS moves is a great step forward for troops and their families? Moreover, do you believe this shift may ultimately end in disaster like privatized housing? Lend me your thoughts on this.
Side note: I have PCS'd numerous times and I always had personal effects that were either lost or damaged each time. Of course I transport the things I hold most dear to me to include PII and important family heirlooms so that's a non-issue. The thing I noticed is the customer service always varied. I've had really nice moves and coordinators and very challenging moves and aloof coordinators. Sometimes the crew was great and engaging and sometimes the crew was of questionable character so I always had to kind of keep a side eye on them without it being obvious.
I guess that's just the nature of these types of moves but hopefully this privatized shift will help us yield a higher overall quality experience.
