One of these days we have to stop blaming racism for the lack of minority advancement and begin to consider other problems. When they took photos away from promotion reviews, minority promotions declined which made it clear promotions in part were race based. Why can’t a minority with all demographics removed compete with white officers that also have demographics removed? Giving people things based on race hurts them and the Tuskegee Airmen proved this 80years ago. The Tuskegee airmen had to be the absolute best, were given nothing, and became one of the very best units in the AAC. Things are very different today and I feel it hurts minorities more in the long run than helps.
